where can i locate the built in sitemap in wordpress?

Update: WordPress does have a new built in sitemap feature located here on self hosted wordpress sites. With version 5.5., WordPress will expose a sitemap index at /wp-sitemap.xml

WordPress doesn’t have a built-in sitemap by default. However, you can easily generate a sitemap for your WordPress site by using a plugin. There are many plugins available that can create a sitemap for your site, including Google XML Sitemaps and Yoast SEO.

To use these plugins, simply install them from the WordPress plugin repository, activate them, and configure them as needed. Once you’ve done that, you can access your sitemap by adding “/sitemap.xml” to the end of your website’s URL (e.g., “https://www.example.com/sitemap.xml“).

If you’re using Yoast SEO, you can also access your sitemap by going to “SEO” > “General” > “Features” in your WordPress dashboard and clicking on the “XML Sitemaps” link.
