Installation
- We would install Popups by OptinMonster, or another similar plugin. There are lots in the WordPress repository either via the WordPress.org plugin repository or by uploading the files to your server directly.
- Activate the Popups plugin.
- Navigate to the OptinMonster tab in your WordPress admin and connect your OptinMonster account to your WordPress site to start displaying popups /email opt-in forms.
- I would then create a Campaign for the popup so that it either displays a discount code or it asks for the person’s email to add to a mailing or waiting list. Whatever is preferred.
- Once this is set up you’ll want to get a coupon code. Assuming you using woocommerce, then we would recommend the smart coupon plugin available here https://woocommerce.com/products/smart-coupons/
- Install the smart coupon plugin, set it up in accordance with your preferences and generate a code.
- Now add this coupon code to your OptinMonster campaign.
