A remote connection is used to work with the server platform. This is due to the fact that the equipment is located in another city or country. Let us tell you in more detail how to set up a connection to a remote server based on Linux/Unix operating systems when using our services.
How to establish a connection

Putty is available in two releases: for Windows and Linux systems. We will consider an example of using a Windows distribution with x64 bit depth.
Select the line “putty-64bit-0.72-installer.msi”, specify the path to save.
We start the program. In the Host name field, specify the IP address of the server to which we are connecting:

Its value is located in the “Status” tab on our virtual server page.

The rest of the parameters are left unchanged. Click Open.
A working window will open, in which an inscription about adding a secret key will appear. We agree.
Enter your username and password in the window that opens. The values are located in the same tab as the IP address (see screenshot #3).
Important! When entering a password, the window does not display characters (even in the form of asterisks). There is a feeling that the keyboard does not work. In fact, the input is carried out, only the actions are not displayed on the monitor as an additional security measure.
If the operations are performed correctly, a working terminal will appear on the screen.
